Privacy Policy

The short version: TireorNOT has no server. Your tire photos go directly to Groq AI. We never see your tire data, images, or scan results.

1. Architecture

TireorNOT is a client-side web application hosted as static files on Cloudflare Pages. There is no TireOrNOT backend server, database, or analytics platform.

2. Your API Key

Your Groq API key is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. It is never transmitted to us. All API calls go directly from your browser to api.groq.com.

3. Tire Photos & Data

When you scan a tire:

Your photo is sent directly from your browser to Groq's API for DOT code and tire spec extraction
The photo never touches our servers (we have none)
Tire data is sent to Groq's compound search for safety and recall checks
We do not store, log, or have access to any of your scans or results

4. What We Store

On your device only:

Your Groq API key (in localStorage)
Your Auto-Check toggle preference

On our servers: Nothing. There are no servers.

5. Third-Party Services

Groq (api.groq.com): Processes your tire photos and runs safety searches. Subject to Groq's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Pages: Hosts the static files. Standard CDN access logs may apply.
Google Fonts: Loads the Inter typeface. Subject to Google's privacy policy.

6. Cookies & Tracking

TireOrNOT uses zero cookies, zero analytics, and zero tracking scripts. No Google Analytics. No Facebook Pixel. No fingerprinting. Nothing.

7. Law Enforcement

We cannot comply with data requests because we have no data. Your scans exist only in your browser and in Groq's systems (per their policies).

8. Children's Privacy

TireOrNOT does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
